I considered many times starting a blog and what it would be about. I wondered what kind of people could really be interested in what I had to say. I thought about what it might do to my ego to have people pay attention to me. Mostly, I am a very private person and don't dole out the inner workings of my life easily.
I think it is less about embarrassment and more about a lack of feeling what I had to say was really of any importance to anyone. Well, I've recently changed my tune. Not that I am suddenly enlightened and have a lot to share with everyone. More-so, I have a lot of customers that confide in me and I really feel what they teach me has a lot of value to those who'd be interested.
Today, for instance, I had a customer call me. She was crying and asking for me to pray for her. Her husband had just died a few months ago and her life has pretty much spiraled ever since. She has a business that is having a hard time running with all that is going on in her life and it also caused her to get kicked out of the place she has been renting. Throughout it all, she has kept her insurance active.
She was pulled over this week and already had previous run ins with the police and Department of Motor Vehicles. They were unsympathetic to her situation and there is a certain amount of that lacking in the government these days. I talked to her for a bit and helped her devise a plan of action to get her life back on track. By the end of the call, her emotions has completely 180'ed and I realized that is what it's all about for me.
So, this is what the blog will be about. The day to day things I experience in the office. How I saved someone money or how they changed my life. This is why I do insurance and it's not always this nice to do. Thank you for reading and God bless.
